'Zapp's Cabaret' Canadian Location Discovered

Here’s a Zapp’s Cabaret(NOT Bar and Grill oddly enough) Tank Top!Labled as being from

Kelowna,British Columbia in Canada

Tmk (and seemingly everybody else’s)there’s no documentation of this Zapp’s.It’s also interesting how it seems to have been renamed.I guess it’s another one of those Charlie Cheese’s situations?

The origianl seller said

“ZAPP’S Cabaret was a popular night club and live entertainment venue located in Kelowna, British Columbia during the 1980s. I actually lived in Kelowna for a year in the early 1990’s and remember hearing about it but I am fairly sure the venue had already closed down by the time I moved there. Kelowna is in the interior of BC called the Okanagan valley, and tends to get quite hot. It popular place to go, especially in the summer with the beach surrounded lakes and nightlife. It is hard to find archives on the internet regarding Zapps in Kelowna as it was no longer operational before 1991 but local libraries would probably have more info”

I’m getting together the Zapp’s main article and the location articles after all this time. From what I can find there’s a mention of the Canadian location in 1988, and the seller says ended 1991- but otherwise I got no clue on this one. The Dallas and Fremont stores are also pretty sparse on their existance.

Are we sure these aren’t just local buisnesses? or they were all sold off to indp owners?

Zapp’s was definitely sold or spun off from PTT after the ShowBiz merger, but the company was still around to 1993 from its own filings.
