A few community designs have appeared on YouTooz’s relatively new community system, which lets characters and designs get voted on to become real products. Because CEC has done merch with YouTooz recently, these items have a real shot at actually getting made.
Greenlit items have ranged from 300 votes to 1000+, depending on if they are an active licensee of YouTooz, how big the planned run will be, and other factors. Sometimes this will go into a further round where a set amount of pre-purchases must happen for the product to go through.
The highest voted item right now is Crusty at 137, half the requirement for the lowest greenlit character, but still a ways to go for the average. This would contend for the first ever Crusty merch to exist.
Important note is the fan design features Wingers as the logo- due to a common misconception with a lot of Crusty photos having his hand block the full text. It is supposed to be Swingers, because its a baseball team.
CEC has directly made this mistake in official media when referencing Crusty, and there is a non-zero chance this stupid fucking company approves the design without revision and we all get the first Crusty merch with a damn typo on it. Have fun and go vote!
