Plans for Social Media Post Archive + CEP-Solid

ok this looks epic

EDIT: Changes should be live, again change cep-js in any link to cep-solid to see the test branch. Now includes:

  • Sections now fade in as they load, nothing relies on eachother
  • Random articles sort by views. Now includes no-content articles since there are some high-view ones people look at for their infobox content.
  • Links and citations now work

Still a TON to implement but I’m keeping it at a good pace, and some changes I’m backporting to the current site, like how views now show the :eye: icon instead

Today’s updates:

  • cep-js now fixed galleries to properly fill the width and not use pixel-sizing
  • Both: fixed tables to be inline
  • cep-solid cleaned up more CSS, footer and header now rendering, more infobox areas are rendering. Mobile infobox now fills the width.

Today’s updates:

  • Video articles are being reformatted and automated even more. The title will now be the actual video title, not the link. The link is now in a new “PageThumbnailLink” parameter, which I plan to incorporate into normal articles later so things like showtapes or other articles discussing video media have a more relevant infobox.
  • Video articles now automatically get their thumbnail downloaded alongside content.md becoming a downloaded transcript. This is for accessibility, not pinging YouTube too much, and saving even more parts of a video incase they get deleted. I don’t have the storage capacity to be locally saving all of the videos just yet so this is a good alternative.
  • cep-js
    • backported mobile css for infoboxes
    • fixed views not working
  • cep-solid
    • Random Articles now lets you also see random photos, videos, and reviews.
    • Thumbnails will now fallback to when articles have a photo.avif attached (which is wrong formatting, but better than no thumbnail, but also now works with how video articles auto-download a thumbnail).
    • Removed the minimum view requirement for random vids.

Latest update just merged about 3000 similar photos and videos, first time we’ve finally gotten rid of all the duplicate mess. That’s hopefully also added a lot more tags to preexisting stuff which further interconnects the site.

Morning updates for cep-solid:

  • The random articles now remember which tab you were on
  • CSS has been adjusted for photo and video cards. Videos now show the 16/9 thumbnail, and photos look like how they are in galleries.
  • Video pages now actually render the video, alongside transcripts being put inside a scroll container.

Today’s updates:

  • cep-solid has ported over the logo, search, and some form of a homepage. Still a lot of work to be done.
    • Homepage now features ‘official’ new YouTube uploads, alongside the newest fan videos. Eventually these will all be turned into tabs and the missing stuff added.
    • The randomization for articles is better since I was noticing a lot of repeats before.
  • video articles now feature an automated “videoChannelHandle”, which grabs handles so they can be parsed for the homepage.
  • Added a bunch of more videos, and that step is now included in the compile step so I can still push updates while continuing to import channels.

Today’s:

  • cep-solid updated the homepage to now group up the listings. Added new section for recent forum posts. Plans are for “Wiki” to have pinned articles grouped in it.
  • Fixed some backend weirdness with video handles and now more pages are properly appending it. Compile step now also fixes malformed json files.
  • Added a ton more videos. I’m guessing I still got about 1500-2000 more to churn through to be fully caught up on the channel list.

Its finally here, I have added the ability to track fixtures for locations, sorry it took an eternity for this to be added.

I’ve also fixed the text suggestions for these inventories in the editor to give a more complete list of options.

EDIT: now we just gotta do one for walkarounds too ughhhhhh so many

Ok also you can track and add walkarounds too. Also thanks yall for already starting to add fixtures those are now live. I also finally changed the tag from “costumed characters” to walkarounds

I’ve renamed some stages to have consistency (cyber stages not needing “Cyberamics” in the title), alongside adding parenthesis like (3-Stage) (Rocker Stage) (C-Stage) ect for multi-name stages. Also fixed a lot of older links for stages that just had completely wrong titles so those should now work.

Also added 1000+ more videos, about halfway through the list of creators. Every batch the random videos tab on cep-solid gets more rich with random stuff to find.

Latest update continuing with another giant video list, this time including more RAE showtape videos. Having to identify which tapes came from which songs really irked me into realizing some shortcomings of the current search engine.

I still love my tag system, but I do maybe need to rethink the trigram system to be word/phrase based cause I swear it was missing some obvious searches. I need to especially have it show the highlighted text in the article if it isn’t found in the title. I think having a Simple/Advanced switch where simple just has a basic text search may make it less daunting, but idk.

I think I’d also want CEP-Solid to have some sort of next/previous article setup for dated stuff, so like you’re on the Trivia Night page and you see Magic Night as the previous and Senior Citizens as the next. That’d be more helpful for people wanting to say sequentially watch showtapes or whatnot. If that would somehow merge into the current shuffle list at the bottom, might be worth including a recently viewed history too, or maybe having pinned pages show there too.

Also Trivia Night straight up doesn’t have a page? If anyone wants to take a shot at it that’d be great :thumbs_up_hoof_d1:
