Another Nolan interview 
has dropped, taking place once again at Northridge! Most of its interesting topics outside the realm of Chuck E. Cheese lore, but one major thing is stated:
(Interviewer) “Do you do you remember experience like that and getting totally different feedback?”
(Nolan) “Right. Right. In this, you know, in Chuck-E-Cheese, we thought that it’d be fun to have- the- encourage people to bus their own tables. So, we created ‘Munch the Paper Eater’, which was a vacuum that uh you’d hold pa- a napkin in front and it would suck it in and say, "Mmm, mm-mm, Munch loves paper”, you know. And then we then we decided to take it one step further and we made a big coin slot so you could roll the pizza tin in and it’d give you a token. We thought, okay, we’ll give them a token to bus their own table. Well, what happened is the kids and sometimes the parents would be in the- in- playing games and leave- pizza on the table. People, other kids would come and grab the pizza tin, leave the their- their unused piece on- on the table to get the token. It just turned out to be a disaster. So, sounded like a good idea, but in actuality, it didn’t work.”
