I already posted this on the CEC subreddit, but I’m posting it here just to make it a bit more known.
As for how I found this, it was due to a newspapers.com newspaper talking about the original Scottsdale Pavilions website, which was also archived on the Wayback Machine. The website was archived enough to the point where the store directory functioned and that this image didn’t get lost to time. This picture is also before the front doors were replaced with older ones from another location in Tucson, which you can tell by the fact that the more typical CEC doors are shown to be there.
This is also the first traditional photo of this location pre-closure that has surfaced if I’m not mistaken. The only other ones are aerials from Google Earth and a pretty good one from EagleView, which you can see here. As for how old this image is, I don’t know, but it dates back to at least 2002 according to the archived versions of this page that also archived the photo.
