Give-LIFE Real Bot Functionality

Just got Give-LIFE engine to now output values over Wi-Fi to a Pico 2W controlling servos, so now that’s accessible to people! Wrote about it here:

It is not currently in the latest update so you’ll need to compile your own build to test it right now. For this project (which for the physical hardware is focused on mini desktop animatronics) I’ve tried to narrow everything to the cheapest possible solutions so people can just have a minimum viable animatronics project without sinking crazy costs just to start.

Looks like the general price for all the electronics is $45, and then $3-5 per servo/movement you wanna add to the kit.

Also tried moving out all the complexity (hopefully). You just plug everything together, drop the code onto the Pico, fill in your Wi-Fi network details and configure the servo angle ranges, and you’re done. The board should just continually scan for incoming signals any time its turned on.

I still need to narrow down exactly what power supply and additional wiring we’ll need. Again trying to focus on minimum-viable, cheapest, and easiest to use/understand. Once that’s locked in and tested I’ll go onto making 3D printable cases that’ll fit everything nice and neat together. Turning it into a bot will be up to the user, whether that’s cramming multiple characters with a few movements next to eachother, or having an entire board setup for each character so they can be spaced anywhere (which is the intention of the Wi-Fi chip so they’re not forced to be connected to your PC).

this is really reeaallyyy awesome!
I totally wanna try to create something off of it when I have the resources too, being able to control them over wi-fi is SO cool and I can imagine the fun setups with that! :eeee:
