If anyone heads over to the Uncle Santa 1984 Showtape these are the plans to eventually overhaul showtape pages to make them more worthwhile to use. It has been a big plan of mine to eventually have these pages act as a more direct way of also watching the tape, but I’ve waited a long time till this could be done right and have some functionality over just browsing YouTube.
This test page now has a pop-out player for the full show since its one of the few we have a full rip of. Whatever point you are in the show will highlight the segment and track you’re at in the new tracklist. Clicking any song in the tracklist will also take you to that timestamp (or a different source if we get into Studio C shenanigans).
Once again this will also allow songs to be looked up in the search bar (not implemented yet)
Its not gonna be as sweeping of a change like other parts of the wiki since it requires much more setup. I wouldn’t even recommend most edit with it since I really gotta tackle more complex setups like Avenger era shows to make sure it works wholly- and also since the sources need to come from archive.org to have the playback features. I’ll do pages over time and show any changes here.
