BillyCon VI was the 5th ever BillyCon event hosted at Billy Bob’s Wonderland (Barboursville, WV (5 Cracker Barrel Dr) from July 17-19 2026.
Admission to the event was free like the past 5 conventions. The VIP package was once again limited to 100 people. The package included: Swag Bags, a free shirt and a free BillyCon VI shirt.
Unlike last year the VIP Seating is now a “first come first serve” instead of only VIP exclusive. When you purchase the VIP package, you do not receive it until the day of BillyCon (July 17-29)
The event is expected to have more people than the former years. Some notable people were supposed to come to the event, but ended up not being able to. Chris Bower invited Peeler and Rose (The artists of CEC for 30 years) and they were going to go up until it was almost last minute. To make up for the cancellation, they sent Chris some prototype drawings of the Awesome Adventure Machine Chuck variant to sell. TayJay Productions showed up again similar to last year. Some other people showed up, including Showbizpizza.com, 3D printing artists, Woodcarvers, and a lot more. Matt the franchize and SullyG were there too. Gene Howell (hallsofvallhalla) who works directly with Aaron Fechter was supposed to be there, but cancelled at the last minute over Aaron demanding Gene not go since the owner of Billy Bob’s, Mark, said no to Aaron’s ban list for people he didnt like and want there.
Unlike last year, There was no paid song requests. They took song requests whenever they had available time during the 3 days, and also in the VIP hour of the third day on the 19th.
Similar to last year, each day is broken up into different themed hours of the convention. The schedule from July 17-19 went like this.
Friday: Welcome hour, Country Hour, Dinner Break, Colander Head Hour.
Saturday: VIP early access, soundchecks and maintenance, Lunch Break, Triviar Hour, Trade Show, Dinner Break, Magic Hour.
Sunday: VIP early access, soundcheck, Lunch Break, Costume Contest, Oldies Hour, Dinner Hour, Closing Remarks
During the breaks and whenever they had time, Brandon Shephard, the new voice of Dook Larue was invited to perform live on stage. The programmers would control stage lights from the backstage to change the stage floodlights to match the song’s pacing.
The Trade Hour is a time where convention-goers can sell, trade, or buy items from other people at the convention. This took place in the main showroom and in other places in the building. This also was a time where the merchandise vendors could sell products they were selling.
The convention ended on the 19th and reportedly had more people than last time.
