Badges are being updated and brought more in line with the rest of the site!
Discourse is a very deep and complex forum software and I hid a lot of the menus at the beginning to reduce clutter as see what things people liked or used. Recently I’ve discovered badges and decided to spruce them up and add custom ones in the mix.
Badges are basically achievements. I’ve set some to display next to your name, mainly the hard badges and all the ones relating to wiki contributions. When the website is compiled, the forums will be told when to award you a contribution badge whenever you rank up.
If there’s a way to add more custom automated badges I’ll be working on setting them up over time. I also plan on having groups display alongside the badges if that’s possible yet (doesn’t look like it is).
