This is a little what if scenario I wanted to post on the Forums to see what people think about it. Please give any thoughts you have on it you want. Remember this is just a hypothetical scenario and not connected to real world history after 1984.
1982
Pizza Time Theatre puts more effort and money into the main chain, deciding to hold on other projects until either 1989 or 1990 when they are secured.
Pizza Time Theatre also makes sure to not allow for heavy spending on advertising for Franchises, and to keep spending mostly to the main corporate stores.
Pizza Time Theatre are holds back on Major projects like Opening several stores for a later date after these policies.
A Major Promotion or event might help as well, like a Nation wide Special Showtape connected to a sale or maybe even fictional donations to find Pasqually the best co-chef instead of the lackluster Smile American Spell Chuck E Cheese.
1983
The Beginning of the Video Crash, Pizza Time Theatre will still be hit hard, but will be in a better position (think Showbiz during this time).
Even though PTT is in a better situation, they still face several challenges and have to close many locations, but not as much as in our timeline (Winchester is Safe).
1984
This is when our timeline’s PTT Inc ended, but now in this timeline, PTT is on the start of it’s recovery.
None of this means Showbiz ends though, which I don’t think would happen and both chains would just remain separate for longer.
1985
Character designs for the Pizza Time Players are altered slightly, Jasper is softened up, and Pasqually is made less cartoony.
1986
The Finalized Balcony Stage is Created, created to shorten costs on stages, it is smaller than a normal Balcony, is red and dark gray, and curtains are added to the New singular Stage.
The first Finalized Balcony is installed at Kooser.
Winchester also gets a Balcony by end of 1986.
1987
The Logo is Changed to have Chuck be larger and separate from the rest of the logo.
Zapp’s Bar & Grill’s are all closed by this year.
CEC animated movies begin production, with the Christmas that Almost Wasn’t beginning later than in our timeline and finishing by October 1988.
1988
Showbiz Corporate weakens in it’s status in the partnership with CEI, and is soon integrated into CEI itself.
PTT Inc makes the risky decision to buy Atari from Warner Communication in July.
1989
PTT Inc begins production of more advanced Cyberamics, including having Legs and having more body/head movements.
PTT reorganizes Atari into “Pizza Time Theatre Arcade & Games Division”
1990
New Main Character Cyberamics, alongside a New1-Stage like Stage are built and the first is installed in Tully or Kooser.
The Second French PTT is opened in Lyon with a V2 Balcony in May of the year.
1991
Character Designs are changed again, Chuck gains a Black and red Suit, Munch gains a yellow Vest, and Helen is made to be appealing to Girls (Similar to how Helen was changed in CU but still retaining Her Broadway Aesthetic).
CEI begins to close several Showbiz Stores to focus on Selling New Shows to Dark Rides and FECs.
1992
PTT buys Showbiz (not the RAE however) in March from CEI after long discussion, with a deal to allow CEI to continue to make showtapes and shows until another agreement was reached.
Nolan Bushnell steps down from the company, but Gene Landrum remains President.
All New 1-Stages are given cosmetics to match the new character designs
1993
All Cabaret Shows are retired besides Dolli, and instead new shows begin Production. The First new one being a retrofit of the King/King Kat to be an original character known as “King Leo”.
1994
CEI falls under tough times as they begin to lose money.
PTT designs a new logo with the New Chuck Design, first one installed at Tully.
First King Leo installed at Kooser to replace it’s Lounge Act.
First PTTs in Spain (Madrid) & Mexico (Probably Mexico City) using a custom Spanish Showtape.
1995
CEI falls into bankruptcy, going out of Business, but Aaron refuses to sell the Rock A Fire to PTT, causing PTT to close the remaining 5 Showbiz Stores in the US.
An Animated PTT movie begins production alongside Nolan selling Androbot Inc to PTT.
1996
PTT creates a new Show Design, a Theater room like design. They also begin the 90’s Remodels, replacing the old PTT colors with a new dual color design. Main colors are White and Red with Theatre colors being black and red.
PTT releases it’s first home console video game to the SNES, a Platformer featuring Chuck fighting a robot army.
1997
The Animated PTT Movie, ‘Chuck E Cheese - The Movie -’, releases.
Winchester is officially designated as a ‘protected’ location, alongside being filmed for PTT’s 20th Anniversary Showtape and Corporate show.
PTT announces 3 things in a public event known as “Pizza Time Celebration 97’”. Including: The Release of Several Older Showtapes to a PTT’s official website in an ‘Archive’ Section, The rebrand to ‘Chuck E Cheese’s Theatre’, And the development on a Digital Animatronic Simulator codenamed ‘Project Cheese’.
1998
Chucktropolis, a Fan Site dedicated to PTT & Showbiz Pizza, opens in January.
The Archive Section is opened, with several older pictures and videos/showtapes shown.
Kooser is the first Store to rebrand to Chuck E Cheese’s Theatre.
Winchester gains an older 1981 Pizza Time Theatre sign.
1999
CEI reenters the Scene, this time just Aaron, who first communicates with the Animatronic Fandom through Chucktropolis.
Project Cheese is renamed to ‘Chuck E Cheese’s Animatronic Theater’ and scheduled for a online release in 2000.
2000
CECAT is released on March 5th, 2000 as a Small game where you can program vectorized versions of a cyberamic 1-stage & change cosmetics.
2001
Gene Landrum steps down as President.
Chucktropolis begins work on archiving CEI material.
2002
Lake Forest is designated as a Protected Store after Chucktropolis gets in contact with Corporate.
a PTT documentary is announced by Chucktropolis members.
Kooser Bots shown at a Tour of the Sunnyvale Corporate Offices.
The Old Irving Texas Showbiz Corporate Offices are sold to PTT by CEI and becomes a museum of sorts.
2003
Smaller Cyber Stages, Called ‘Small Town Stages’ are Installed in some new locations, containing only a Cyber Chuck Jasper and Helen on Center stage with TV screens on Munch & Pasqually’s places.
Warblettes last removed at Tully where they used to be on display, sent to Sunnyvale.
2004
Chucktropolis gains a video sharing feature.
3 More PTTs are given protected status by Corporate, Arlington TX, Tempe AZ, and a New York Location.
2005
Chuck Gains a redesign, giving him a blue shirt with a Red and White cap.
Late 2000’s
Characters gain small redesigns.
Last Balcony V1 Stage besides Tempe AZ & Arlington TX is removed for a Small town Stage.
2010
Crusty Cyberamic Made and installed in Tully as a Side Attraction, replacing the Lounge.
Lounges Begin to be removed for Extra Dining.
Last Cheese E Street removed in Danvers MA.
New White and Blue color palette created for Stores, replacing the dual color scheme.
2011-2016
only 25-30 King Leo’s exist in stores by 2016.
CECAT taken offline and replaced with a 3d Animatronic Simulator DEMO that allows for fan made content and has several shows avaliable.
CEC 3d Animatronic Simulator released to Steam and Consoles (Altered version) in Late 2015 for $35.99-$59.99 .
Release of Five Nights at Freddy’s in August 2014.
Chuck E Cheese Museum begins works but not publicly revealed yet.
2017
Chuck E Cheese Convention 17’ Held in San Jose, CA. Reveals include: Chuck E Cheese Museum (For Opening in 2019), Retrofit of Northridge’s Cyberamics Small Stage into a Cyberamics 1-Stage, and Chuck E Cheese Documentary for release in 2018.
Chucktropolis holds an event, creating the Chuck E Cheese Wiki in Late 2017.
2018
Chuck E Cheese Documentary Release.
CEI launches Premium Video Service.
2019
Chuck E Cheese Museum opens in Sun Valley California.
Only 5 King Leo’s Remain.
Cabarets begin to be removed.
Chuck Redesigned to remove his cap and give him light gray snout fur.
2020
Pandemic Begins, PTT hit hard.
Fast Food & Delivery Services Opened starting in California.
Last non Helen Guest Star animatronic removed after the closure of an Ohio store, also the last original PTT with Shelf besides Lake Forest.
2021-Present
Establishment of Crusty’s Arcade, a Small Animatronic Arcade chain in California with Black Walls, and a custom Curtsy & Chuck Cyber Show. Only 5 Are opened in San Jose, Sunnyvale, Fresno, San Fran, and one store in Oregon.
3d Animatronic Simulator Remaster released in 2023.
